Q8. Is a private scan the same as the NHS scan?
Our sonographer will conduct a limited non-diagnostic check as part of your fetal health/well-being scan. These checks are completed within the scan package time and are not as detailed as your NHS 20 week anomaly scan which will take on average 30 minutes. It is therefore vital that you must attend your all your NHS antenatal ultrasound scans and appointments to ensure you are screened for a much more extensive list of conditions and have the appropriate antenatal care pathway.
Q9. Why are there different prices for different scans?
This depends on the fetal gestation and what you are aiming to gain from your experience with us.
Q10. How accurate are gender scans? What happens if an error is made?
Early Gender Scans can take place from 15 weeks and carry a 99% accuracy rate. However, although our staff have an excellent track record of accuracy in determining gender, it is a well known fact that 100% guarantee cannot be given regarding the accuracy. We regret that we cannot accept any responsibility regarding the ultimate accuracy and any consequential losses arising out of the extremely unlikely event of a wrong-gender at an early stage of pregnancy.
